Timothy Curry

Founding BBBP board member Timothy Curry is President at Stryk Global Diplomacy, a full-service private diplomacy firm. Timothy taught American Politics at Queen’s University Belfast, Northern Ireland, and developed a deep connection to the island of Ireland that resonates in his work there today and his commitment to BBBP.

Prior to his role at Stryk, Timothy served 17 years as the Deputy Director for Counter Terrorism Policy at the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. Focusing on cybersecurity, terrorist travel, foreign fighter facilitation, countering violent extremism, border security, as well as human smuggling and trafficking policy, he received the 2012 DHS Thought Leadership Award and several Distinguished Services Awards, including for his work on Somalia and developing national security strategies for the White House. He led teams focusing on Hezbollah, violent extremism, foreign fighters and border security as well as building and sustaining national security relationships in Europe, the Americas, Asia, Africa and the Middle East. Timothy also worked as a Program Coordinator for the Technology and Public Policy Program at the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS).
